How it was:
SLSA is the largest orgainsation of its kind in the world with federal level administration, 6 state and territory branches and 310 surf clubs around Australia comprising of circa 350,000 members.
It is Australia’s leading coastal safety and management body consisting of paid Lifeguards and volunteer Lifesavers with numerous sub-brands and entities under its control.
SLSA’s need to develop a cohesive online presence for its many identities was immense.
What we did:
macdaddy proposed a solution that utilised a site structure that could be lent to all of their websites so that the flow of information for users was familiar between the sites. Individual branding and content for each of the sites was the only variable.
Interlinking of the entities was apparent on all sites so that users could easily find relevant SLSA entities and/or information.
macdaddy then implemented its proprietary Content Management software, copilot [CMS] so that administrators could manage and update the content on each of the web sites.
Hosting and support for each of the websites is also provided by macdaddy.
What we’re doing now:
macdaddy is now a web development partner with SLSA for the hosting and support of its websites, application development, management and integration of its sub-version systems and provides API connectivity with third party applications and systems.
macdaddy currently developing an iPhone application for beachsafe.org that will available an the iTunes app store in August 2010.
